During that time he has joined numerous expeditions, especially on Spitzbergen (Svalbard), but also the Antarctic - always looking to catch te RIGHT moment.

His work has been published aswell in the annual catalogue of Spitsbergen Travel, a well known tour operator and various canine journals in Germany and Switzerland. Owing to his experience of the outdoors and the company of dogs, he wrote the book „Trekking mit Hund“ („Hiking with dogs“), 2006, on how to prepare a dog for a multi-day hike, and how to go out on a successful hike with dogs.
