Spitzbergen Ski-Expedition - Itinerary

Example Itinerary from 2008:

Day 1, Arrival, Friday 30.05.2008

1. •arrival at Longyearbyen airport friday at 11.10am and 13.55pm
   

2. •tranfer to Spitsbergen Guesthouse inclusive
   

3. •15.00pm short information briefing at Spitsbergen Guesthouse
   

4. •time on your own to discover the town, shopping or to visit the museum
   

5. •19.00pm dinner at restaurant “Kroa“
   

Day 2, Saturday 31.05.2008

1. •7.00 am to 10.00 am breakfast at Spitsbergen Guesthouse
   

2. •11.00 am information meeting at Spitsbergen GuesthouseBefore lunch we check the equipment for the trip (tents, exp. sledges,        
         cooker, food, personal gear)
   

3. •19.00 pm dinner at Restaurant “Kroa“
   

Day 3, Sunday 01.06.2008

1. •7.00 am to 10.00 am breakfast at Spitsbergen Guesthouse
   

2. •11.00 am transport to the harbour and across the Isfjord to Borebay
   

Days 3. - 15. Ski-Expedition from Borebay to Magdalenefjord

1. •It will take us about 12 days to cover the 200 km (one day off included).   
   

2. •The route leads from Boreglacier over the Osbornglacier,  “Three Crowns“ and continue to Isachsenfonna, Minacoglacier ant towards Magdalenefjord.
   

Day 15, Friday 13.06.2008

1. •Pickup by MS Nordstjernen in Magdalenefjord at 13.06.2008
   

Day 16, Saturday 14.06.2008

1. •We cruise with MS Nordstjernen along the northwestern coastline of Spitsbergen
   

Day 17, Sunday 15.05.2008

1. •10.00 - 12.00am Landing in Ny Ålesund with sightseeing
   

Day 18, Monday 16.06.2008

1. •back in Longyearbyen, checkout latest 8.00 am
   

2. •equipment check
   

3. •departure 14.55pm
